On 15th April, 2026, the Member of Parliament for the Salaga North Constituency, Hon. Alhassan Mumuni, paid a working visit to selected departments within the North East Gonja District as part of efforts to strengthen public service delivery and engage directly with staff.

During the visit, Hon. Alhassan Mumuni met with officials of the Agric Department, District Health Directorate, Ghana Education Service (GES), and the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE), where he held brief discussions on their activities, challenges, and areas requiring urgent support. Staff from all the departments took the opportunity to highlight key operational needs, particularly in logistics and infrastructure.
The visit was also attended by the District Chief Executive (DCE), the District Coordinating Director (DCD), and some key staff of the Central Administration of the Assembly, who accompanied the MP and participated in the engagements.

As a gesture of support, Hon. Alhassan Mumuni donated a number of chairs to all the departments visited to improve office conditions and enhance their daily operations. In addition, he provided financial assistance to support fuel needs across the departments, aimed at facilitating their official duties, including fieldwork and community outreach activities.
The heads of the departments expressed their gratitude for the timely intervention, noting that the support would go a long way in improving efficiency and service delivery. They further appealed for continued collaboration and assistance to address other pressing challenges.
The visit forms part of the MP’s ongoing commitment to supporting institutions within the constituency and ensuring that essential services reach the people effectively.
