On Tuesday, 14th April 2026, the community of Kpalbe in the Salaga North Constituency witnessed an important developmental milestone with the sod-cutting and handing over of the site for the construction of a 24-hour economy market. The event marked the official commencement of a project expected to significantly boost local commerce and improve livelihoods.

The ceremony was attended by key government officials and local leaders, including the Savannah Regional Minister, Hon. Salisu Be-Awuribe. In his address, he emphasized the importance of expanding market infrastructure across the Savannah Region to stimulate economic growth and support traders, especially women and youth. He assured the community of government’s commitment to completing the project on schedule.
The Member of Parliament for Salaga North, Hon. Alhassan Mumuni, expressed his appreciation to all stakeholders who played a role in making the project possible.
