The North East Gonja District has on Monday, 6th March, 2023 marked the country’s 66th independence day anniversary with a parade in Kpalbe, the district capital under the theme of the year event ” OUR UNITY, OUR STRENGTH, Our PEOPLE”.
Fifteen schools within the North East Gonja District participated in the independence day parade at the Kpalbe park. Some of the schools that participated in the parade were, Kpalbe Islamic Primary School, T.I Ahmadiya Islamic school, Libi D/A KG/PRIM.School, Gbung D/A Primary School, Binjai presby school, Samakuse junior high school etc.
The District Chief Executive of the North East Gonja District Assembly, Hon. Musah Tindawu thanked and applauded all students and teachers within the district for their excellent job displayed. He renowned that occasions such as the independence day celebrations calls for the need for all to remind themselves of the need to remain united as Ghanaians. He gave the students words of encouragement and urged them to keep on partaking in school activities, and also motivated them never to give up in their academic activities because they are the future leaders of the country.
He further encouraged all the teachers within the district to keep up with their great job in their various schools.
The MP of Salaga North Hon. Alhassan Abdallah Iddi Awarded clocks to all the fifteen schools that participated in the North East Gonja District on the independence day celebration.
Hon. Alhassan Abdallah Iddi also showed his appreciation on behalf of the government and himself as well by Congratulating the students and staffs of the various schools by awarding them with clocks.
He then praised them on their 2022 BECE performance and encouraged them to stick to their academics.
He finally quoted that “together we stand, divided we fall’’ must be the motivation for them all to come together as one and a nation.
